What is a Facebook Page?
A Facebook page is a one stop platform to showcase all information that we wish to promote to generate traffic. It is just like a web page or a blog. A Facebook Page can be used to promote a website, blog, small business and any intellectual property with legal rights ownership. A page ensures search engine visibility and online presence. A page can be created from our own personal account. The best thing about Facebook pages is the fact that they are friendly to the search engines.
How to create a Facebook Page?
1. Click on ‘Create a page’ option from your own profile page.
2. Choose the most relevant category of the page from the 6 listed categories.
3. Select a name for your page. The name needs to be selected wisely as it will form the url of the page and it can never be changed later. The name will be permanent.
4. Profile picture – The profile picture can be the logo in case of a business, a personal picture in case of a celebrity or an image of that suits the person or the brand.
5. About section: This is the most important tool which can be used to describe what the page is all about.
6. Like button: Visitors can click on the Like button when they like the contents of the Page. More number of Likes increases the reputation of the Page. Usually celebrities and highly popular pages get huge number of Likes, subscribers and visitors. A Facebook Page under the name of a celebrity or highly popular brand is also known as a Fan Page.
7. Body area: The body area is the main function area of the administrator. It is here, where we can upload the links of our published articles and promote them. While uploading links, the thumbnails option can also be seen. We can upload the thumbnail image if it is relevant or if we have the right to do so.
From my personal experience, I would like to share something here. We don’t upload images to our articles on Expertscolumn. So, every time, I try to upload a link of my published article, a thumbnail image also emerges which is usually a profile picture of some other writer. In this case, we should click on the no thumbnail option because the image shown has no relevance to the content of the article an neither do I own it. I feel all the writers of Expertscolumn opt for no thumbnail option every time they upload a link of their published article on Facebook.
By uploading our articles published on Expertscolumn.com, we can expect to attract good number of visitors from Facebook which will help us enormously in increasing page views thereby generating more reveue from our articles.
