Salman Khan’s recently released film “Ek Tha Tiger” has earned more than Rs. 33 crore on the first day of its release. This is the highest collection made by any Hindi film on its first day of release. The cost of the film is said to be Rs. 50 crore. It was released on 15th August 2012 all over India and over 24 countries.
Shahrukh Khan’s film “RA.One” had the record of highest one-day grosser around and Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath had received the highest release day collection of Rs. 23 crore. Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger” has broken all the existing records and has made a new record. It is believed that Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger” will eventually become the record breaking hit film of Indian Hindi Film Industry. During the festive season of Eid, this Film will surely prove to be all time block bluster. Trade sources believe that Ek Tha Tiger will be able to earn more money than what Salman Khan’s earlier film ‘Bodyguard’ had earned. Bodyguard’s total collection was Rs.148 crore. The entire Industry of Bollywood is now eagar to wait and watch, if this film will be able to earn more money than Aamir Khan’s film 3 Idiots. The film 3 Idiots had earned total revenue of Rs. 201 crore.
Salman Khan recently has the credit of many hit films one after the other. It started with “Wanted” and after that the others hit films were “Dabangg”, “Ready” and “Bodyguard”.
The film “Ek Tha Tiger” has been produced by Yash Raj Films which is considered to be the King among all the Production companies in Bollywood. The film has been directed by Kabir Khan. The Director has directed two films: “Kabul Express” and “New York”. TV Anchor Mini Mathur is married to Kabir Khan.
One very interesting thing about “Ek Tha Tiger” is that the film is only 2 hours long. The shooting of the film took place across three different continents, five countries and nine different cities. The film has promoted the Country ‘Ireland’ as a potential tourist destination. A major part of the film was shot in Dublin which is considered to be a vibrant and modern city. Istanbul and Cuba are the other two famous locations of the film. The romantic action thriller “Ek Tha Tiger” marks the coming back of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif after a long time. Katrina Kaif’s role in the film is the surprise element and her performance as an actor is at its best. The last film where both the lead actors worked together was ‘Vuvvraaj’ released in 2008.The film also stars Ranvir Shorey.
